Missions let people help each other find places
Missions help you collect a list of places for a specific purpose, on your own or with help from other people.
Here are examples of things you can do with a mission:
- Get friends to vote on the best location for a group event, e.g. "biking next weekend"
- Solicit public opinions on a specific kind of place, e.g. "good daycare spots for toddlers"
- Create a walking tour of your favourite parts of town
- Make a private to-do list, e.g. "places to go on a rainy day"
You'll see missions mentioned in various places on 5 Blocks Out, including on neighbourhood and destination pages. The main place to find missions is on the Missions tab of the Explore page, where you'll see a list like this:

By default missions are "public", i.e. open to everyone. Public missions have the most potential to help lots of people, which is why we encourage you to create and participate in them.
You can also create "unlisted" missions, which are accessible only to you. You have the option to invite specific friends to join you on unlisted missions.
To create a mission, click on the "Add a mission" button anywhere you see it, including your My Stuff page, destination pages, and neighbourhood pages. Once you've set up a mission you can start adding places and inviting others to join.
Missions you're participating in are listed on your My Stuff page.
