**Toaster Oven Cuisine** Good neighborhood drinking establishment. Interesting crowd, a booth inhabited by a dog, and a kitchen which consists of two toaster ovens but puts out surprisingly good food.

Excellent selection of beers (don't miss the De Koningshoeven La Trappe Quadrupel), delicious food (Pork Rib Ends are AWESOME), and a great atmosphere (reasonably loud, good service, comfy seats). Close to the subway. Highly recommended!

There's a lot to say about the Drake. One notable thing, since most eateries close a little on the early side in Toronto, is their 24-hour restaurant.

A little upscale for everyday, but a nice spot to enjoy the sun going down apres- work. They also support a lot of community building initiatives and have host kid party every so often.

This is a fun little local pub run by the same folks who own the Communist's Daughter. It's a nice place in a fairly bland strip of Bloor. Good food, too.

3 Speed has fabulous ambiance and good food. They have a decent variety of drinks at reasonable prices. The wine list is short, but no complaints.

If you like Communist Daughter this is a more spacious space by the same peeps.

This is a nice little neighbourhood pub/bar. They make great pizza and they know their espresso.

**fun corner joint** When this was a block from our house I really liked it. Now i'm not sure if it is a favourite- but they certainly have good pizza and lattes. To me this place is a cross between a pub and a restaurant. There's something about TVs in restaurants that turn me off. But if you don't mind that it's a pretty sweet little joint. show more

We used to love the Freshwood - it was a weekly treat for us. Unfortunately the cleanliness, along with the food consistency, has been sliding for years. We like it so much that we tried to ignore it: even when our friends reported that their chip-dip mayonnaise contained somebody else's chip, we chalked it up to bad luck. But the last time we went, the floors were slippery with grease, the bathrooms smelly, and the highchair was positively sticky. We had friends with us and we were simply embarrassed. We hope the owners will see this posting and take the problem seriously. show more

The french fries are done English style which is to say that they are a little mushy. The falafel balls which can be added to any salad are good. The service is slow, but there is a nice patio. And crayons for the kids is an old but good trick to keep everyone happy. show more

I like them burgers. They also have a great back patio, though you'd never know it from the storefront. It's a nice quiet garden atmosphere.

Great local bar with friendly regulars. Patio is great (unless the wind is northerly…). Don’t come here if you’re looking for Molson, Labatt, Guinness, or Bud Light Lime. Get the jerk wings, and if you like spicy, add some Mado’s hot sauce.

Beer. Whiskey. Comfy seats. Smart staff. There's a lot to like about Drift. The bar has a lot of 2- and 4-spot tables, but you can also squeeze in a party of 10 or more if you get there early enough.

The largest selection of beers foreign and domestic in Toronto, this underground cellar-pub has the ambience to go with the menu of gourmet beers. Also served: oysters, fine whiskeys and beer salami!
