If you can't make it to the Jamie Kennedy Wine Bar this is a great place to have his infamous poutine. Casual but with all the flare and reputation of his kitchen. show more

On a rare trip outside my own 'hood I stumbled across this tiny little bakery. I'm sure their bread is good but the exciting thing, for me, is that they have the English treats I remember from my childhood like Bakewell tarts, Eccles cakes, madeira cake and wonderfully gingery ginger cake. show more

We love the fish and we always shop on Saturday around 3 pm. The market is closed on Sunday and Monday so at this point the fish guys are giving away tons of free fish with every purchase. We go for a salmon steak and come home with free crab cakes and lobster tails! show more

Mmm they serve good espresso. You'd think there would be more good espresso places near St. Lawrence Market, it being a food magnet, but it turns out this is one of the few coffee spots nearby. show more

I went to Jamie Kennedy recently and spoke to Jamie himself. His passion for Ontario and local food is fantastic. I like their policy on wine, they don't charge a premium to order by the glass so each person at the table can order their own vino show more

Get there by 11am or after 1:30pm to avoid brunch crowd on weekend. Irish Breakfast comes with baked beans, ham, home fries, soda bread: very filling. Blueberry pancakes are massive, come in threes, and use wild blueberries; delicious. show more

It's a cross between childhood memories and a sweet garage sale - charming. The prices are great, and everything is wind-up - no batteries required. The owners are really proud of their history. show more

Best chiropracter I've ever had. Physiotherapists are supposed to be amazing too. They aim to get you better as soon as possible and not commit you to years of therapy. show more
