Indie Ale House
This is a craft brewery and restaurant soon to be open in the Junction. Their brews have been available at several bars in Toronto with excellent reviews.

Had brunch here yesterday. Love the vibe and the food was amazing. All of it is made from scratch. I was able to chat with the owner Lucy and she is so friendly and down to earth. It is worth the trip to the Junction if you are not close by. show more
All vegan & organic - even the alcohol! Also a location in Yorkville.

All day breakfast!! Get those eggs all day even if you missed them before you went to work. Management has does some changing around in the kitchen and the Clubs have gotten a bit dry.

Free Wifi, friendly service, great teas and pastries. I don't drink the coffee but people seem to like it. If you're lucky you can grab a comfy chair by the fireplace.

This is a great store - good mix of gently used and new kids clothes - that hosts music classes and readings for little ones.

Great cafe. I hosted a mom's event here once during off-peak hours and they were very nice about it. If you want to organize a group I would call ahead since it is quite small place. There is parking on all the surrounding streets if needed. The food is excellent homemade fare. The owners work very hard to make everything from scratch (other than the bread). Delicious! show more

Vintage furniture and funky art to make your home more interesting. Smash has amazing pieces if you like old and eccentric mixed in with great design. I highly recommend it, although, don't go there looking for a bargain. It's a place where you need to check in regularly to see what they have uncovered. show more
I've been buying fish from Osler for 15 years or more, and it is always fresh and well prepared. The folks can tend to be on the gruff side but they know their fish. It's located right at the top of the railpath, so it is a nice bike ride too. show more
Yummy organic Bison Burgers with caramelized onions.
Or a hearty homemade tofu & walnut vegan burger. Let's just keep all the options open.

I have yet to eat at Rawlicious but it gets great reviews for its raw, vegan menu and comfortable atmosphere.

The Good Neighbour espresso bar has converted a great building with lots of windows and a wide storefront into a nice and bright coffee shop. It has been well designed to be cozy, modern, eclectic and yet clean. Exposed brick meets reclaimed wood, highish ceilings, an art wall and industrial pieces. The espresso is great and the pastries are fantastic (they are made by jules patisserie!). There is plenty of space even though it's bustling. I like the way it's located in the middle of a neighbourhood instead of on a shopping strip (similar to the Riverdale Perk's location). In it's previous life the space was a little grocery store. All in all a lovely place to park yourself to indulge in a good book. show more
