Mabel's is as wonderful as ever, but be aware that they no longer have ice cream by the scoop, only by the pint. They sold their ice cream freezer to the Chocolateria up the street, and they are doing homemade ice cream (that I have not yet tried). show more

Great assortment of fresh baked breads, pastries, cheese and deli salads. They also have Greg's ice cream and other specialty food items.

i love the bread at mabel's. they sell french sticks that are apparently made by a local entrepreneur who bakes them in her own kitchen!

This bakery is beautiful, an absolute pleasure to shop in and they have really good bread and a gluten free chocolate cake to die for!

By far my favourite bakery in the neighbourhood, if not in the city. Their desserts are ridiculously decadent and I love their hearty, whole grain breads.

I have yet to visit the spot but it sound phenomenal and.. it carries my mother's name -- so a definite yes on my book :)

They carry St. John's and Thuet breads... yummy. They make brownies, cakes and cinnamon buns on the premises. The prices aren't cheap but what I've tried has been delicious. The brownies are worth a trip over.
