Yummy vegetarian and vegan food. Great take-away option downtown.

Nice enough place, but the staff have attitude. Tried to explain what a flat white should be and he got insulted when he made my coffee not to the way I liked it. I'm too old to tolerate bad service. I wouldn't recommend this place. show more
This cafe is awesome! I have only been there three times and they already know our names. They are very welcoming and personalise your order. All beverages are made to order by the barristas/owners, Tony and Elaine, who offer a smile and a chat while you wait. The vegan baked goods are exceptionally tasty and moderately priced.Love this place! show more
Of all the Parenting and Family Literacy locations in the area, this one is the best! The new teacher, Felicia, is awesome and is well trained, and very entertaining and accommodating with the children. PLUS, the room is huge with a access to a private outdoor play area! show more
I know Canadian Tire is hardly a secret, but I hadn't been for years because the one at Church and Yonge can be pretty discouraging. But I went to this one by the Eaton Centre today, and it's great. It's huge, well-stocked, organized and tidy, and the staff is actually helpful. Plus they have this escalator especially for carts. It's so cool... show more
I don't know how it compares to Goodlife but it's got to be cheaper, right?

The best Thai delivery (along with Thai Princess).
This tip is a response to Which places are best for take-out and delivery?
Great tasting Thai food on the east side. Family run Thai business. Great place to bring a Buddhist monk (not kidding). I love the glass noodles, currys, satay. But everything is flavourful. Dining room is typically empty because they do far more take-out and delivery. show more
Huevos rancheros at brunch with real corn bread. Fruit with yogurt and granola is enormous. At dinner time, come around 7:50pm and the place will clear out when everyone goes to a show or concert (Canon Theatre is across the street, Massey Hall is down the block). show more
Lots of patio seating for summer; huevos rancheros with crispy corn tortillas; “Easy As Pie” deep-dish breakfast pie with scalloped potatoes and challah.

Formerly known as Rainbow Body Yoga, it’s in the same location. I love yin yoga and they have three classes/week (one is yin/yang). Vinyasa Flow with Rena (Wed @ 7:10) is great for intermediate/advanced; and Jock Yoga (men and women) on Sat @ 1:15pm is great for the less flexible but otherwise strong. show more
Amazing beer, with lots of focus on local. If you like barley wine too, this is your place.

Nice bar. Great selection of fancy beer. They serve cask ale as well.

This is a pretty new place. They server blinis which are like crepes (hopefully the blini aficionados don't kill me saying that). Really delicious--I tried the lamb sausage and it was great. The setup is like a fast food joint, the prices are not low (but not unreasonable either). Definitely recommend it as a place to go for a casual (and delicious) bite to eat. show more
